What To Expect
The Tesla Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to troubleshoot, develop, and optimize equipment, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling for production. Based at our Tilburg facility, this role ensures the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of equipment used in Production. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, manage tooling and equipment designs, train technicians, and drive initiatives to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing efficiency.
What You'll Do
Manage equipment projects from concept to production, including design, validation, and ramp-upDesign schematics and layout for industrial electrical control panels which are CE compliant and satisfy the Low voltage directive, EMC Directive and Machinery Directive.Design and upgrade equipment, conveyors, tooling, fixtures, and machine stations.Define requirements for outsourced tooling and equipment, collaborate with vendors, and establish Tesla standardsUse tools like Minitab/JMP for data analysis to improve processes and performance.Partner with Operations, Safety, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to achieve production goalsImplement reliable industrial safety systems (OSHA, ISO, CE and NEN standards) to safeguard high voltage and mechanical hazards
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical systems and custom machine-buildingExpertise in EPLAN, SolidWorks, automation systems, PLCs, robotics, and electromechanical componentsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environmentPassionate about optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes, and be hands-on in the manufacturing environment
