Boat Builders

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Boat Builder to join our team who can help craft exceptional vessels. You will be responsible for building, repairing, and sometimes designing boats and their interiors. This can include furnishings, engines, electrics and plumbing. We value your marine building and repair experience, a keen eye for detail, and a strong work ethic.

Your role will involve:

• Building, repairing and modifying various types of boats and marine vessels.
• Installing mast frames, decking fittings, machine shafts, and safety equipment.
• Building and installing structures such as cabins, machine mountings, propeller supports, and rudders.
• Determining repair requirements and procedures.
• May make hull moulds and fabricate and repair vessels using materials such as aluminium, wood, glass, reinforced plastics, carbon fibre, Kevlar fibreglass, and concrete.

Applicants must:

• Have NZQF Level 4 qualification or higher or at least three years of relevant work experience
• Willing to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
• Be flexible with work hours
• Have NZ residency citizenship or a valid NZ work visa

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in different locations (Auckland, Northland, and Bay of Plenty), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions.

The pay rate starts from $29.66 to $33.50 per hour, depending on your skills and qualifications.

Regular work hours are 30 hours per week.
