Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Nuclear Medicine Department for a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist with Class Radionuclide Imaging registration. This role offers the chance to deliver high quality diagnostic examinations in a progressive and dynamic environment, utilising state of the art scanner. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of functional imagining, contributing to a diverse and challenging caseload in one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary hospital. Our Nuclear Medicine department is equipped with two solid-state scanners, one of which is a dedicated cardiac scanner, and one conventional hybrid NM-CT scanner. The service undertakes a wide range of functional imaging studies.

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • A strong patient focus
  • Full registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board with Class Radionuclide Imaging scope of practice
  • Experience in general Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Utilise excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Sound knowledge in IT systems and applications
