Step into the spotlight as our Café Manager at L’affare!

You’ll lead the charge on all things front-of-house, making sure every customer has an unforgettable L’affare experience. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll bring energy, organisation, and a love for great coffee to the table. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and be part of a wider crew of coffee legends, from roasters to techs, all united by passion and quality.

In This Role, You’ll Be Responsible For

• Overseeing all front-of-house operations in our iconic College Street café
• Creating an exceptional customer experience, every single time
• Managing inventory, supplies, and our retail space within the café
• Leading and inspiring a passionate, high-performing team
• Collaborating with our Head Chef to support a positive team culture
• Driving local marketing initiatives and creative café strategies
• Connecting with our wider crew – baristas, roasters, and technicians – to deliver the best in coffee
  
  

About You

We’re after someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads by example, and knows how to bring out the best in a team. If you’ve got a strong background in coffee, great people skills, and love a fast-paced environment, you’ll thrive with us.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• 2 years’ experience as a Café Manager or Supervisor (or ready to step up)
• A natural leader who motivates, supports, and inspires their team
• Solid background in coffee and hospitality
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Handles the hustle of café life with calm and confidence
• Available to work weekends – we’re open 7 days a week
  
  

Full-time availability, based at our College Street café in Wellington Central. All applicants must be a New Zealand resident or have a New Zealand working visa.
