Te tūranga / The role
We have an opportunity for an experienced
Payroll Officer to join our team. This
part-time role will be responsible for delivering the organisation's end-to-end payroll processes and ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. This role is a
permanent 0.5 FTE position working either 3 days on payroll weeks, and 2 days on non-payroll weeks, or 4 days on payroll weeks, and 1 day on non-payroll weeks. There is also some flexibility in the daily start/end times for the role.
The Successful Applicant Will Be Responsible For
- Ensuring prompt processing and payment of salaries to all employees on a fortnightly basis
- Accurate calculation, processing and input of payroll data to our payroll system (Pay Global & Humanforce)
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulations
- Maintaining and updating of all employee records to ensure accurate payment
- Providing advice to staff and managers on all matters pertaining to Payroll
Ngā pūkenga e hiahiatia / Skills you’ll bring to the role:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll or similar role
- Understanding of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with interpreting individual and collective agreements
- Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
