Adtran is looking for a Junior Test Engineer to Scaling Team for Mosaic Network Controller network management system. Work involves designing, developing and execution of non-functional tests, especially performance tests.
Our system manages WDM Optical, Ethernet, and Synchronization and Timing networks, ensuring our customers' success in operating their solutions. Our solutions are used globally by Tier 1 Network Service Providers, Regional Service Providers, Data Center Operators, and various Enterprises that prioritize system security, network speed, performance, and reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities
Laboratory’s infrastructure and hardware maintenance (network elements, servers, etc.) – up to 25% of work-time.
Designing and execution of functional and non-functional tests, mainly: performance, load and stress.
Point out testability opportunities/barriers during design and planning sessions.
Work on right balance of manual and automation testing activities.
Design and test environment setup for various test scenarios, including configuration of various kinds of devices and simulators.
Documentation and tracking of defects in the test/development management system.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required.
Good written and spoken English.
Desire and ability to gain new knowledge.
Strong analytical and problem - solving skills.
Good team player, flexible and open minded.
Familiarity with Python, Robot Framework.
Familiarity with Linux OS, especially RHEL based.
Familiarity with Ethernet basics.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, especially non-functional tests concepts, would be an advantage.
Familiarity with SDLC process, experience with SW R&D products development is nice to have.
