Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer specializing in Life Sciences to join our dynamic team. This role involves leveraging advanced data analytics to drive insights and solutions for clients in the pharma, biotech, medtech, and healthcare sectors. You will lead complex projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and act as a technical leader and mentor. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing AI and Machine Learning solutions, enhancing decision-making processes, and improving operational efficiency. Additionally, you will support business development through pre-sales initiatives, research, and the development of new services and products, while also participating in conferences, publishing articles, and fostering a continuous learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical guidance to the team on the deployment of secure and regulatory-compliant applications. - Execute data engineering projects in the life sciences domain, from data collection and processing to solution deployment. - Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to drive technological innovation. - Provide technical expertise in presales activities, including developing proof-of-concepts and presenting data engineering capabilities to potential clients. - Design, implement and deploy advanced analytical applications for health and biomedical data analysis. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science practices and life sciences to apply cutting-edge techniques. - Promote best practices and ensure project quality. Qualifications: - PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM disciplines. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on the life sciences industry. - Experience with healthcare data standards and terminologies. - Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms,and data mining techniques. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and bash scripting. - Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Fluent in professional English. Nice to Have: - Experience with real-world evidence generation and observational research. - Knowledge of advanced NLP techniques and unstructured data analysis, including Generative AI. - Proven track record of successfully deployed applications and microservices. - Experience with AGILE methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). - Experience in project resource management (people, tools, time, costs).
