PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

As a Data Engineer in our team, you will contribute to building and maintaining data pipelines that support our customer in achieving their business goals.

Our team integrates data from multiple sources, processes large-scale datasets efficiently, and ensures high data quality for advanced analytics and AI-driven models. This role involves optimizing ETL processes, enhancing the data warehouse/lakehouse architecture, and contributing to a robust data platform that enhances decision-making for insurers worldwide.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value.
• Designing, implementing and maintaining data solutions.
• Collaborating with data analysts and data scientists.
• Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability in the context of a data lakehouse architecture.
• Mentoring and coaching junior team members.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques, data governance principles, and data platform solutions design
• Strong expertise in Python, PySpark & SQL
• Experience with Databricks in Azure, Databricks Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Synapse
• Proficiency in designing efficient, robust, and automated data pipelines
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
• Proven experience with code version control tools like GIT
• Ability to map business processes into data & analytics solutions
• Familiarity with preparing data for Data Science & Machine Learning applications
• Ability to evaluate business needs and align data solutions with stakeholder objectives
• Strong engagement with architects, data scientists, data analysts, and peers
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior data engineers

• Experience using Power BI for advanced analytics
