Azure Information Protection Specialist

• Implement and manage Azure Information Protection (AIP) solutions to classify, label, and protect sensitive data;

• Collaborate with IT colleagues and security teams to integrate AIP with existing systems and workflows;

• Monitor and audit data protection measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;

• Provide training and support to staff on AIP best practices and usage;

Core Domain Skills (Primary):

• Configuring and managing AIP policies and labels;

• Responsible for data classification, labeling, and protection using AIP;

• Integrate AIP with Microsoft Purview for comprehensive data governance;

• Responsible for Data Encryption and Rights Management: understand the encryption technologies and rights management services to protect data;

• Ensure our product is compliant: be familiar with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations;

• M365 3rd Level Support;

• Expertise in managing user identities and access permissions within Azure and Microsoft 365 environments;

• Fluent English (written and spoken), German is a plus;

Complementary Cross Domain Skills (Secondary):

• • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;

  • Good knowledge in agile tools such as JIRA andamp; confluence;

  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve security issues;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively;

  • Flexibility to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies;

  • Team Player and good communication skills;

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.;

• Basic Entra ID Knowledge and AD knowledge;

• Basic Admin Center Knowledge (Policies);

• Several years of professional experience with PowerShell Scripting;

• Strong M365 environment experience and knowledge;

• Proven experience with Azure Information Protection (AIP) and Microsoft Purview Information Protection;

• Strong understanding of data classification, labeling, and encryption technologies;

• Proficiency in Azure Rights Management and sensitivity labels;

• Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools;

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA);

• Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP) solutions;
