The National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) is the national platform for developing quantum software and applications. It aims to drive industry collaborations in quantum computing, accelerating research translation through strategic partnerships, Research Collaboration Agreements (RCAs), and proof-of-concept (POC) projects with companies in finance, computational biology, logistics, and beyond.
The professional will be responsible for developing and executing industry engagement strategies, securing research collaborations / projects, and driving the translation of intellectual properties into industry applications.
Responsibilities
Promote NQCH?s technologies and capabilities, identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and build strong relationships with industry partners in alignment with the National Quantum Strategy.
Understand the companies? technology roadmaps and requirements, structure partnership models to drive R&D collaborations to achieve impact and outcomes.
Negotiate and prepare contractual agreements (e.g. non-disclosure agreement, research agreement, research collaboration agreement) by working closely with various research departments, Legal and other internal stakeholders, and to ensure compliance to internal guidelines and processes.
Conduct risk analysis of situation to anticipate challenges, and to be able to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Prepare reports and company briefs for meetings and update to Management and to the National Quantum Office.
Coordinate and host meetings, organise and / or support workshops, conferences, overseas trips.
Plan marketing and publicity activities to promote NQCH?s capabilities through events, media release, case studies or websites. Represent NQCH at technology events (e.g., SWITCH, ATxSG, Quantum Industry Day) to attract new collaborators and opportunities.
Job Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in business development and preferably with background in Master / Bachelor in Business, Engineering or Science.
Good business acumen, resourceful and is a team player.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate contracts effectively.
Meticulous in work, excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of contract law will be an advantage.
More than 5 years of relevant experience in business development, technical sales; background in science and technology work would be useful.
