Job summary
We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to help with safeguarding our organization’s computer systems, networks, and sensitive data against cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access. The engineer will participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect critical information while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. The engineer will play a key role in identifying security risks, addressing incidents, and enhancing the organization’s overall security framework.
Roles and responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day cybersecurity operational activities pertaining to security solutions assigned.
Creating, reviewing and implementing security guidelines, protocols, policies, and systems to protect our digital assets.
Implement, operationalise, and optimise new cybersecurity solutions as required.
Assist with security incident response activities including containment and recovery as and when arises.
Stay current on the latest cybersecurity industry trends, technologies, and techniques, and support team in conducting cybersecurity awareness training within the company.
Support colleagues and cover duties internally from time to time.
Perform compliance inspections and security audits, including risk analysis and vulnerability assessments.
Include security features in both new and pre-existing apps and IT systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of IT and business operations.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security related fields.
Familiarity with security frameworks.
Experience in administering security solutions, e.g. Cyberark, Checkpoint NGFW, Tenable security center.
It is advantageous to have worked for a company that has obtained or actively pursued CyberTrust Mark accreditation.
Deep understanding of various Operating Systems, e.g., Linux and Windows.
At least 3 years of experience supporting cybersecurity operations.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM are highly desirable.
Product certifications are advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communicator who can create and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues across departments.
Able to work independently and manage work well to meet project deadlines.
