Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the end-to-end testing activities
• Carry out the activities in the testing lifecycle including test planning, analysing business and system requirements
• Design and develop test cases or test procedures based on system requirements and design
• Create traceability to requirements, analysing gaps, and address them
• Execute the test procedures and support in reporting results to project stakeholders
• Report and track defects to closure
• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders including explaining test reports to stakeholders
• Conduct test execution with internal and external stakeholders and support in ensuring requirements are satisfied
• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, addressing test gaps to ensure test efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in software testing with hands-on manual testing experience
• Experience in test execution phases such as Functional Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, etc
• Experience in designing/developing test cases based on requirements and specifications
• Good knowledge of database scripting – DB2, MySQL, etc
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the system development lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Relevant experience with the tools used for test management and defect tracking
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team
• ISTQB/ISEB test certification is an advantage
