Testing & Commissioning Engineer - ATS - Signaling

ATS Test & Commissioning Engineer plays a critical role in the successful delivery of the Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) Signaling System. This includes comprehensive planning, execution, and coordination of all site-based test and commissioning activities to ensure system readiness and compliance with contractual and safety requirements. The role demands close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and handover of the signaling solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation of detailed testing and commissioning (T&C) procedures and method statements based on system and subsystem design specifications.
• Lead the preparation and execution of on-site T&C activities through to final handover to the client/authority.
• Coordinate and oversee integrated T&C activities, including interface testing with external E&M contractors.
• Perform hands-on system testing on-site, ensuring adherence to approved procedures and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot system issues and produce initial investigation reports on any anomalies identified during testing.
• Deliver all testing and documentation activities with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with Engineering, Installation, V&V, and technical expert teams to support commissioning timelines.
• Uphold strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Golden Rules (AZDP) during all commissioning activities.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the commissioning of complex systems, ideally within the railway or transportation domain.
• Familiarity with the deployment of Driverless Signaling Systems or similarly complex technologies.
• Strong understanding of signaling systems, operational principles, and subsystem integration.
• Ability to define testing frameworks, including the creation of test plans, procedures, reports, and acceptance criteria.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues involving both internal and external interfaces (ATS, SCADA, or similar systems).
• Technical knowledge in: OPC client-server architecture, XML, COM/DCOM, Databases (MS-SQL), Windows HMI design
• Basic network setup and operating system fundamentals
  Programming and scripting languages
• Exposure to software testing and technical troubleshooting methodologies.
