N - Assistant Engineer [Civil] - Singapore

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for testing of construction materials at Engineering Materials Laboratory, performing physical testing on construction material such as cement, sand & aggregate and preparing and verifying of test reports.

Organizing the workload in the most efficient and expeditious manner.

Supervising of the performance of staff under their control to ensure the work is carried out in orderly manner and with the speed at which it is required

Experience in the use of the relevant standards and ability to apply appropriate standard to the requirements of specific test.

Maintain job records and prepare routine reports.

Ensuring the staff under control is adequately trained and competent for their respective duties.

Conduct research and development in new testing methods.

Establish test SOP and facilities according to literature/published standards.

Lead and direct the procurement of testing tools, equipment/instruments.

Perform and demonstrate the materials testing process to customers/assessors

Perform testing and prepare test reports daily.

Requirement:

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably Material Science
