What you will do
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform day to day maintenance activities to support Biologics and API manufacturing operations at Amgen Singapore Manufacturing. The primary responsibilities include executing routine maintenance, handling breakdowns, performing repairs, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision. Effective communication with customers is essential to ensure minimal impact on production. The technician must ensure timely closure of tasks with proper documentation, adhering to cGMP requirements, Amgen procedures, and safety regulations.

Key Activities:

Perform routine maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs.

Coordinate work performed by contractors to minimize production impact.

Complete work order documentation promptly with accurate information.

Assist in failure analysis investigations and provide corrective and preventive actions.

Develop and maintain training for the team to enhance knowledge in electrical and instrumentation fields.

Trouble shoot equipment safety and reliability issues e.g. participate in root cause analysis and problem solving

Provide frontline support by performing basic repair and troubleshooting to maintain system including associated controls and equipment in good condition.

Coordinate with Planner, Utilities, Manufacturing teams for system shutdown maintenance or between each champion by performing Lock Out Tag out in accordance to Safe Work Procedures.

Adhere to Amgen Safe work practices and develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) related to Maintenance works

Assist Engineer to perform advance analytical/trouble shooting work during investigation.

Manage of team of services provider during shut down/major maintenance activities.

What we expect of you
Qualifications
-
Preferred qualifications include a diploma or recognized technical certificate in electrical, electronic, or mechatronics engineering with over 3 years of related experience in electrical and/or instrument maintenance or servicing.

Good understanding of the application principles for various electrical equipment/switchgears and instrumentation devices.

Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision, performing troubleshooting, and providing pragmatic resolutions in a dynamic environment.

Dynamic individual who embraces change, takes on diverse roles, and actively seeks to expand knowledge for improvement, productivity, and efficiency.

Ability to interpret technical drawings for electrical, control, instrumentation, and P&ID.

Flexibility and willingness to work on a 12-hour rotating shift or admin office hours.

Experience in a cGMP working environment or familiarity with hazardous classification codes such as ATEX, EEx, or licensed electrical worker certification is an advantage.

Work in assigned working hour and willing to be scheduled for call out during non-office hours to support manufacturing emergencies

Competency in basic computer skill.

Good interpersonal and communication skill

Fluency in written and spoken English
