Responsibilities:
Identification and Assessment: Observe and monitor children's development, conducting screenings, and work closely with preschool staff, parents, and professionals to gather information and evaluate children’s developmental progress.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with the preschool team and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Instruction and Support: The early intervention teacher provides specialized instruction and support to children with developmental delays or disabilities within the context of the mainstream preschool setting.
Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate and provide consultation and resources to parents and preschool staff by facilitating communication among all stakeholders.
Progress Monitoring and Evaluation: Collect date, conducting screenings, and adjust instruction and support strategies as needed to ensure that the child is making meaningful progress.
Family Engagement: Provide guidance and resources to support parents in understanding their child's developmental needs, providing strategies and techniques for promoting their child's development at home, and facilitate parent-teacher conferences and other family engagement activities.
Requirements:
Qualifications that meet NCSS’s minimum education requirements of an Early Intervention educator and
Attained the ADESN/SDESN
i. Have at least 5 years’ experience in working with children with developmental needs
