Accountant / Accounting Specialist

An esteemed international law firm is seeking an Accountant / Accounting Specialist to join the finance team in Singapore.

You will work closely with the Senior Accountant (based in Hong Kong) to support day-to-day finance operations

and provide key financial reporting for the Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file financial statements, management accounts and tax reports for the Singapore office.
• Assist with group-level accounting adjustments and reporting.
• Support budgeting and annual financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis and modelling to support business development and strategy.
• Work with partners and the HK billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Coordinate with the HK credit control team to ensure efficient cash collection.
• Share timely and accurate financial information with partners including updates on WIP and outstanding debts.
• Help develop and improve financial reports and insights for the Singapore office.
Explain financial data to partners and fee earners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience after the qualification with 3 years working in a UK-HQ law firm
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese to effectively collaborate with the Hong Kong team
• Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Skilled in Excel/pivot tables, Aderant expert
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and regions.
• Salary range from $5,000 to $7,600
• 9am to 6pm, 20 days AL, medical/dental, life insurance, 1 month annual bonus, hybrid work model
• Location – MBFC
