[What the role is]
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head (Safety Risk Management) to lead the safety risk management function within the ANS Safety Division. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving proactive safety risk management initiatives, leveraging industry expertise and best practices to enhance safety culture and performance across the organization.
[What you will be working on]
Lead the development and implementation of proactive safety risk management initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks within the ANSG, fostering a proactive safety culture across all operational areas.
Drive the development and implementation of innovative safety risk management initiatives, leveraging industry expertise and best practices to enhance safety culture and performance across the organisation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operational units and safety teams, to integrate safety risk management capabilities into operational processes and safety initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk mitigation.
Provide strategic guidance and support to the Safety Risk Management branch, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives, with a focus on promoting a proactive and data-driven approach to safety risk management.
[What we are looking for]
Professional certification in Safety Management Systems (SMS) or equivalent qualifications
At least 10 years of relevant experience in aviation safety, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles and implementation, aviation safety regulations and compliance requirements, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and safety performance indicators and monitoring systems
Proven experience in leading safety risk management programmes in aviation, conducting safety audits and investigations, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, managing safety data analysis and reporting systems, facilitating safety culture transformation initiatives
