Software Engineer / Software Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced IBM FileNet/ICN Developer with over 10 years of experience in enterprise content management (ECM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of IBM FileNet P8, IBM Content Navigator (ICN), and related technologies, and will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting robust content management workflows and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement IBM FileNet P8 solutions, including workflow automation, case management, and content repository management.

• Customize and extend IBM Content Navigator (ICN) to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.

• Develop and integrate FileNet applications with enterprise systems using Java, REST APIs, and web services.

• Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain FileNet environments to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security.

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations for IBM FileNet and ICN components.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, design documents, and user guides.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices in ECM and ICN development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM FileNet P8 and IBM Content Navigator (ICN).

• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, and RESTful web services.

• Experience with FileNet BPM/Case Manager and Process Engine.

• Solid understanding of ECM architecture, security models, and metadata design.

• Experience integrating FileNet with external systems and enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server and DB2/Oracle databases.

• Experience with system upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex application issues.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Certified Content Manager or FileNet certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
