Position
In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek a motivated and skilled IT Project Manager to join our GIT/ISAP/DEC – Digital Excellence Center.
Mission: on a portfolio of transversal projects for various business lines, design, develop and document solutions. Guaranty the alignment between users' needs and products delivered (in-house solutions). You will intervene during the project life cycle within a fully integrated team in Singapore.
As an IT Project Manager, you will interact with key stakeholders and other IT teams to plan and coordinate various project streams on the portfolio. You will oversee all aspects of projects: setting deadlines, monitoring and summarizing the project's progress. You will prepare status update reports for upper management, manage the communication with the needed stakeholders, and ensure appropriate methodology in all project phases. The role is not limited to project management-centric activities. You will need to understand the business context and ensure communication with the business teams is done in the same language and there is no miscommunication between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Main responsibilities
Project Management
- End-to-end responsibility for delivering the agreed scope on time and within budget.
- Governance. Formalize the project governance and align it to the company’s standards and best practices. Organize project committee meetings, team meetings and status reporting. Key decisions are adequately documented and signed off.
- Understand the scope, requirements and use cases and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- The role assumes extensive communication with internal team(s), third parties and other stakeholders to identify all dependencies and ensure scope is successfully delivered.
- Prepare, control and monitor detailed project plan in coordination with project teams.
- Budget control and monitoring, ensuring the project has sufficient budget coverage and addressing budget constraints/concerns to the business team and senior management.
- Risk management. Understand and anticipate risks on the project and dependencies.
- Change management. Manage changes in the project scope, schedule, and costs. Timely update stakeholders in case of any deviations are foreseen.
- Ensure a continuous improvement approach: using feedback from each phase to improve and share best practices with other teams.
- Became an active player in the project management community.
Stakeholder Management
- Communication – ensure relevant stakeholders are proactively kept informed throughout the project duration.
- Facilitate collaboration and discussions across teams.
- Manage Senior stakeholders and communicate effectively and professionally.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
Qualifications and Profile
This position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager managing enterprise-wide complex information systems development within major organizations, ideally in a banking environment.
Mandatory Role related Skills
- Hands-on experience in coordination between the IT business lines and IT team (various locations) and ability to work as part of a virtual team in a culturally diverse background.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Field experience in managing medium to large-sized projects (iterative or agile).
- Ability to anticipate risks.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong experience working with Microsoft Office tools (including MS Project).
Nice to have
- Project Manager / Business Analyst Certifications.
- Technical background (knowledge in databases, application servers and programming languages).
- Domain knowledge/hands on experience around information security is a great plus.
- Business Analysis background in banking sector is an advantage.
