We are seeking a talented and creative Chinese Content Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality Chinese video content that aligns with our organization’s goals and resonates with our target audience. This role requires a strong understanding of Chinese culture, language, and storytelling, as well as technical expertise in video editing and production.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing and Production:
Edit and produce engaging video content in Chinese for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional campaigns.
Ensure videos are visually appealing, culturally relevant, and aligned with the organization’s branding and messaging.
Content Localization:
Adapt and localize content to suit Chinese-speaking audiences, ensuring cultural sensitivity and linguistic accuracy.
Collaborate with translators and content creators to maintain the integrity of the message.
Creative Storytelling:
Develop compelling narratives and visual concepts that effectively communicate key messages.
Incorporate graphics, animations, and other multimedia elements to enhance storytelling.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the marketing, communications, and creative teams to plan and execute video projects.
Liaise with external stakeholders, such as vendors and partners, to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Quality Assurance:
Review and refine video content to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and Chinese content creation.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in video editing and production, preferably with a focus on Chinese content.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and sound design is a plus.
Familiarity with social media platforms and their video requirements (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, WeChat).
Language Proficiency:
Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong command of English to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Soft Skills:
Creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Singapore’s and Malaysia's cultural and media landscape.
Portfolio showcasing previous work in Chinese content video editing.
