Job Posting for Quantity Surveyor at ELEMENT GEOTECHNICAL TESTING (S) PTE. LTD.

Element has an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our rapidly expanding team, As a memeber of the contract team in one of the various sites across Element,the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs relating to our projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. He/She seek sto minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. This includes ensuring that all works are carried out to the agreed standards of quality and within the set budget.


Key Responsibilities:Cost Planning and Management:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
    Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
  • Perform risk and value management and cost control.Advise on procurement strategy
  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare and analyse costing for tenders.Allocate work to subcontractors.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
  • Value completed work and arrange payments.Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Attend meetings with clients and their representatives.
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as main contractors, subcontractors, and site managers.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

Other Duties:

  • Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
  • Where applicable, negotiate with the client and contractors.
    Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building / Construction Management or equivalent

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in Quantity Survey
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and details-oriented
  • Knowledge of civil projects
  • Singaporeans and PR only
