Principal Information Management System Analyst

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the Engineering Project Information / Digital Engineering functions but not limited to collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences., solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.

Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.

Responsible for overall application development, customization and configuration of Hexagon's Smart Plant tools including 2D tools & AutoCAD.

Establish and develop Digital Engineering / Data management Reports for all S 2D tools (SPPID , SPI and S 3D) including completeness and Consistency reports across all S 2D and S 3D tools;

• Setting up and administration of multi-discipline detailed design projects using Smart Plant tools and AutoCAD
  • Customization of new Name rule
  • Custom command development
  • SQL and Oracle Server Expertise
  • Create procedures and functions in SQL
• Multi discipline coordination activities for digital engineering related activities
• Develop / Establish Dashboard Reports for Data progress measurement and automate the project reports for all Smart Plant Tools ( S 2D tools and S 3D)
• Set up and publish regular Data Completeness Reports and Consistency Reports to the project
• Good knowledge and exposure on all programming applications including all
• Smart Plant tools applications ( SPPID , SPI, S PEL and S 3D)
• Responsible for day-to-day Digital Eng activities comprising of both 2D tools data and 3D data
  • Perform data integrity checks
  • Produce reports
  • Ensure data consistency
• Perform regular Data validation checks and Flag inconsistencies to Engineering team and resolve the inconsistencies.
• Perform Data analyst and Loading / importing to databases
• Tag and Data Management
• Data Class Library management for Project
• To follow the contractual requirements for information / data turnover to assure a seamless transfer of information
• Expertise in implementing and integrating large-scale enterprise systems

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• Around 12 to 15 years working experience in various Smart Plant tools including development & customization of various S 2D and S 3D tools including reports
• Experience in Smart Plant tools including Smart 3D and other associated S 3D application, customization, and development, Micro Station, AutoCAD
• Possess leadership analytical & decision-making skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong facilitation, analytical, and design skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize support activities and deliver multiple tasks
• Experience in Oracle DB, and Visual Basic DB are added advantages
