About KidSTART Department
KidSTART provides upstream support to children from low-income families in the areas of early childhood development, health, and social support. As a KidSTART Practitioner, you will actively engage families and work closely with social / community partners and government agencies. Through home visits, you will support parents through delivery of a range of child development strategies, assess, and monitor their children’s health and development.
Responsibilities
Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to maintaining updated information of KidSTART families in SSNet and internal systems;
Support intake assessment of referrals;
Support case workers in information gathering and conduct assessments on children’s developmental needs;
Assist case workers to develop holistic child-centric case plans for each child and provide monitoring and follow up to address any barriers until child graduates from programme;
Support case workers in engaging children and parents with knowledge and skills on meeting child’s developmental needs;
Provide last mile delivery of support to families.
Requirements
Possess minimum Diploma in Social Work
2-3 years’ experience in social service, working with families or early childhood education sector.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Organised, meticulous and adaptable to changes.
Able to work at least two evenings per week.
This position is on contract basis
Full time or part time welcomed
