Position Description
Proven experience in trade marketing and sales, preferably in the Dairy or FMCG industry
Knowledge of market research and data analysis tools
Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior
Role Accountabilities
Drive sales volume and gross sales value, optimize product mix, and manage trade spending to achieve net sales and gross margin targets.
Increase market share, distribution, visibility, and space share for Fonterra products.
Track category, channel, and customer trends; gather and analyze trade and customer information to generate insights; leverage sales data, retail audits, and consumer panel data to understand shopper behavior.
Develop category strategies for key channels and customers, aligning with overall business objectives.
Conduct regular market visits to assess route coverage, product availability, and visibility; monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Organize trade research to understand retail and shopper behavior, and evaluate brand performance.
Build strong relationships with key customers and understand their needs and insights.
Determine channel trade spending strategies, manage GTN and A&P budgets, develop effective promotions, and optimize product mix to maximize revenue and margin.
Develop RTM strategies, distribution assessments, and perfect store initiatives; lead activities to increase distribution and improve in-store execution.
Develop joint business plans with key accounts, collaborate on category management programs, and negotiate trading terms.
Integrated Business Planning; ensure alignment of marketing and sales activities, develop activity grids, and provide accurate forecasts.
Lead and motivate the team, build capabilities, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in trade marketing and sales, preferably in the Dairy or FMCG industry.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of market research and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior.
Passion for the FMCG industry and a drive to achieve results.
