Key Responsibilities:
Shared Services Operations
- Lead the HR Shared Services team supporting a multi-site healthcare system.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions including new hire onboarding, licensure/credential tracking, terminations, and employee changes.
- Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) and resolve escalated employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and employment status.
Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare-specific labor laws, including CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, and state-specific employment regulations.
- Ensure staff credentialing, licensure, and certifications are up to date and properly documented.
- Support HR audits and ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation practices in accordance with healthcare standards.
HR Systems & Data Integrity
- Oversee HRIS management (e.g., Kronos, Lawson, Workday, or similar systems), ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Produce standard and ad hoc HR reports to support compliance and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams on system enhancements, troubleshooting, and user training.
People Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of HR shared services specialists.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and promote a culture of accountability and service excellence.
- Work cross-functionally with payroll, talent acquisition, compliance, and clinical leadership teams.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes using HR technology.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across shared services functions.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset to enhance employee and manager experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
- 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in HR Operations experience and with in-depth knowledge of employee life-cycle administration.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a people-manager role.
- Knowledge of RPA or MS Power Automate and prior hands-on experience in implementing technology-related projects or tools will be an added advantage.
- Ability to lead teams and influence across functions in a matrixed environment.
