Senior DevOps Developer (Java, Containerization, Permanent, Banking)

Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze user, business, and system functional requirements to determine delivery requirements, in collaboration with technical analysts.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate existing versus proposed processes, identifying technical constraints and limitations, and design technical solutions based on the Functional Specification Document.
• Develop solutions based on the Technical Specification, conduct unit testing to ensure the quality of development, and perform code reviews for junior team members and vendors, while creating or reviewing documents related to system release or deployment.
• Support system testing activities to ensure timely resolution of reported errors, assist in integration testing and user acceptance testing, and create or review documents related to system release or deployment.
• Provide technical support for incident resolution, conduct root cause analysis, manage stakeholder expectations, and escalate issues to higher tiers such as Team Lead or Team Head when necessary.
• Enhance IT capabilities through automation and the adoption of emerging or disruptive technologies such as containerization, cloud, and AI.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience including technical management of software development project and system design/support in Java technologies.
• Experience in leading, designing and implementing web-based systems, Dev-Ops and workflow/process automation system.
• Experience in Java-based application development.
• Knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle database, MS SQL, DB2, MySQL, etc.
• Knowledge and experience about kubernetes and container-based orchestration.
• Knowledge and experience in emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, Data Analytics, etc, would be an added advantage.
