Senior IT Program Team Manager (PERM, Banking)

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and management for a team of Project Managers, ensuring effective project delivery, fostering professional growth, and overseeing critical programs by tracking progress, budgets, and risks to achieve successful outcomes.
• Address project interdependencies and support IT leadership by contributing to the development of annual work plans and resource strategies.
• Manage the IT budget for assigned teams, offering regular updates to leadership on project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex initiatives across various business units, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and driving support for key business goals.
• Implement and uphold program governance frameworks to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures, while providing impactful executive-level communication.
• Continuously manage stakeholder expectations through well-defined governance practices and engagement strategies.
• Partner with IT teams to identify and drive innovation initiatives enabled by technology, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful deployment, testing, and validation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
• Maintain awareness of interdependencies between business objectives and technology solutions, proactively tracking deliverables, resolving conflicts, and managing critical paths.
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and evaluate new solutions in collaboration with external vendors for potential implementation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with over 15 years of experience—preferably in the Banking and Finance sector and IT environments—including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Comprehensive experience in system development, including crafting both functional and technical specifications and contributing directly to development processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, with hands-on expertise in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences, while effectively collaborating with technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, systems thinking, and solution design abilities.
• Skilled in vendor negotiation and experienced in managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
• Prior experience in vendor product management is highly desirable.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end project management initiatives with a proven track record of delivery.
• Outstanding communication skills at the executive level, with the ability to convey insights and updates clearly in both verbal and written formats.
