Job Title: Carpenter, Renovation Worker

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction and Renovation:
  Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
  Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
  Assemble, install, and remodel partitions, doors, windows, furniture, and other wood structures.
  Install cabinetry, moldings, and other finish carpentry components.
• Project Planning and Management:
  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and work details.
  Plan the sequence of tasks and procure the necessary materials and tools.
  Coordinate with other workers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient workflow.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on job sites.
  Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to ensure safe working conditions.
  Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect and ensure the quality of work meets industry standards.
  Identify and correct any defects or errors in construction.
  Maintain high craftsmanship and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Maintenance and Repairs:
  Perform regular maintenance on carpentry tools and equipment.
  Conduct repairs on existing structures and fixtures as needed.
  Ensure all repairs are carried out promptly and meet quality standards.

Requirements:

• Completion of an apprenticeship program in carpentry is preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in carpentry and renovation work.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
