Job summary

Gradiant is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented Logistics professional with extensive experience in logistics management, specifically within the oil & gas, water treatment plant (WTP), engineering projects or related sector. This Senior Logistic, will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of complex logistics projects, including freight management, handling duties and taxes, coordinating exemption matters related to sales tax and duties, managing laydown areas, and overseeing the storage of materials when sites are unavailable upon delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics:
  • Develop and implement logistical plans for special projects, including defining timelines, schedules, and consolidation points for owner supplies.
  • Lead and coordinate with the Operational Team and Procurement department to ensure seamless project execution from a logistical perspective.
  • Oversee and ensure the timely receiving and releasing of goods, coordinating with Material Controllers as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary logistics contact for the project, providing expert guidance and support to project teams.
  • Establish work procedures, create schedules, and expedite workflows to meet project deadlines.
  • Standardize and continuously improve logistics processes for better efficiency and project execution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, to support supply chain initiatives.
  • Lead and support project teams to manage complex logistics and supply chain strategies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks while driving continuous improvement throughout the logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Foster effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Other:

  • Provide support to team members and other departments when needed.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 8-15 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution. Preference for candidates with prior experience in oil & gas projects, water treatment plants (WTP), or engineering-related projects, particularly in coordinating or managing logistics for large-scale projects in these industries.
  • Hands-on experience in logistics operations is essential experience in managing operations logistic, is highly valued.
  • Experience with engineering equipment or managing logistics for oversized, complex, or specialized equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing logistics operations for complex projects. PMP certification and experience with Microsoft Project are advantageous.
  • Extensive understanding of international and domestic transportation, including ocean, air, and truck freight. Familiarity with import/export regulations and customs procedures is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure logistics operations, including handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Experience working in fast-paced, high-energy environments is crucial.
  • Ability to work across global timelines, especially when handling logistics for international projects.
