Overview of Role
The Junior Reporting Analyst, based in Singapore, will be responsible in supporting the global credit team by ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. This includes identifying missing or incorrect data and performing tasks independently. The individual will also work in collaboration with the Business Analysts and IT to support the automation of data feeds between systems to ensure accurate credit exposure reporting.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct research and provide summaries of new markets that the Group is entering into.
Correct ETRM interface files where that are obvious mistakes and before a permanent solution can be implemented in the ETRMs.
Conduct regular Credit System consistency checks
Monitor/ calculate exposures on a number of counterparties to have accurate exposure data
Provide exposure data updates on majors with LNG mark-to-market exposure
Enter and update external ratings in Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) and ensure up to date information in the monitoring lists with S&P and Fitch
Calculate various margin exposures that are currently not being managed automatically
Enter silent covers, discounting and insurance covers in BCR
Static data clean-up/ enrichment
Market and counterparty research
Update credit system based on results and findings from research and review, focusing on group structures and country risk
Update data repository with static data
Collaborate with compliance to align data and share findings
Compare and align credit system with excel-based open credit lists
Clean up inconsistencies in data across different systems and sources within Gunvor Group
Research and summaries information on new markets
Assist with other relevant tasks as needed
Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by your manager
Work to automate manual process tasks where possible
Profile
The individual should have the following experience:
Fresh Graduate or Recent graduate are welcome to apply.
Ideally, Bachelor degree with a major in Finance, Economics or Business Administration is preferred.
Experience in the Commodities Trading market (a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft office
Detail-oriented and meticulous in work
Strong numerical skills
Fluent in English and Mandarin skills required (additional languages, especially Japanese, will be a plus)
Inquisitive and self-motivated learner
Strong communicator and team player
