Lecturer - Advanced Manufacturing [ITE College Central]

[What the role is]

In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes in industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools. You will also have the opportunity to have industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills, knowledge and practices of your profession.

[What we are looking for]

Education:

• Relevant training in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional certifications in precision engineering, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, or quality management are highly desirable.

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in precision engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.

• Proficient in mechanical engineering design with hands-on experience in CAD modelling and simulation (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), as well as manufacturing environments involving CAM programming and CNC machining.

• Familiarity with automation technologies, including industrial robots, collaborative robots, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), is a plus.

• Experience with data analytics and related applications is desirable.

Skills:

• Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and explain technical concepts to students of varying levels.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and industry partners to enrich the student learning experience.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Dedicated to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
