House Officers are provisionally registered doctors and are still under training. They are allowed limited responsibilities and are closely supervised by their seniors
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Clerking all new cases in their assigned wards/teams and initiating emergency treatment
Participating in the general management of all patients under their care, including but not limited to:
Active involvement in daily ward rounds
Ordering and reviewing of investigations and treatment
Performing and/or assisting in basic procedures and interventions
Communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues
Updating and completing case records of all patients under their care
Night calls
Participating in department training activities and meetings
Job Requirements
Graduation from one of the medical schools recognized by the Singapore Medical Council
High standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
