Job Posting for Shipping Assistant/Executive at Jobscentral
Arrange bookings with forwarders or carriers for cargo to be transported via sea & air.
Coordinate closely with various internal departments, warehouse team to ensure smooth cargo flow and timely shipments.
Prepare all relevant documentation for shipments, including customs documents, letters of credit, and other necessary paperwork.
Arrange timely collection or dispatch according to customer requests.
Monitor the progress of all shipments in real-time, providing regular updates to internally & customer. Address any delays or issues promptly and take corrective actions and pre-alerts to customers.
Ensure timely billing and accuracy of the invoices.
Ensure timely submission and proper filing of relevant documents.
Attend and responds on customer's inquiry.
Maintain open and effective communication with customers regarding shipment status, delays, and any relevant updates. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Job Requirements
At least 1 to 2 Year of working experience in the related field or no experience (in-house training will be provided).
Must be able to read and write in English.
Possesses knowledge of L/C documentation, Incoterms, Singapore shipping procedures, and has experience in freight forwarding.
Responsible and committed team player.
Motivated individual and possesses good planning and follow-up skills.
Able to handle high volume of workload in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel).
Priority will be given to candidates available on short notice.
