Job Posting for ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT MANAGER at JP PEPPERDINE GROUP PTE. LTD.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Purchase Management
To assist in negotiating and purchasing all supplies following stipulated specifications and cost targets.
To assist in the coordination of imports.
Assist in sourcing new and promotional products.
Assist in sourcing, costing, and recommending selling prices for new products.
To continuously review existing sources of supply and prices to ensure that the products are of specified quality and at competitive prices.
To obtain quarterly or bi-annual quotations from main suppliers to monitor market pricing and product availability.
To minimise the number of suppliers.
2. Inventory Management
Responsible for the monitoring of stock availability and requirements to ensure that all divisions are adequately stocked.
Responsible for the cold rooms, chillers, and stores adhering to the stock control system.
Ensure the dry store, cold rooms, and chillers with correct and effective way of storage. Ensure clean and tidy at all times.
Monitoring and documentation of meat portioning and packing by the butchery department. Producing monthly analytical reports for management review.
Responsible for the butchery department has optimum inventory level and par stock to supply to restaurants.
Perform monthly stock checks (HQ and outlets) and produce monthly cost reports as check and balance for inventory control and cost control.
Look out for expiry goods, as well as promotion goods that is not in use after the promotion period is over.
Recommend and implement an inventory control system – to ensure accountability of all inventory.
3. Order Placement
Ensuring all orders are requisite using Accpac.
Verify goods ordered by outlets are products approved by management.
4. Receiving
Enhance the process of receiving and checking of goods.
Quality assurance of all products received.
Confirmation that all goods received are in good order and according to specification & quality.
Ensure that the prices of the goods delivered are the same as those negotiated initially.
Verify invoices received.
5. Distribution
Responsible that all goods ordered are accurately packed, labeled, and delivered to outlets.
Responsible for goods to outlets as scheduled.
Assist in the planning of the delivery schedule.
Assist in packaging in dry store as well as in chiller when needed.
Ensuring a smooth distribution system.
Quality assurance of all products.
Assist and follow through on recall procedures as per HACCP.
6. Purchasing Administration
Assist in the maintenance of the Purchasing Software program.
Analysis of monthly purchase statistical reports.
Ensuring all purchasing documents are properly filed.
To review existing reports and include productivity and measurable trackers.
7. Others
Assist in general building security.
Assist with building maintenance.
Assist in Research and Development/ Testing of products.
Responsible for ground floor cleanliness and hygiene.
Assist in setting up and responsible for the operations of the online meat retail shop.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
