Job Summary:
The Data Center Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical security and safety of the data center, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure and sensitive data in compliance with Singaporean regulations and industry best practices. This role oversees security personnel, monitors access control systems, responds to security incidents, and implements preventative measures to mitigate risks. The supervisor will play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of security and operational integrity within the data center environment.
Responsibilities:
Security Operations Management:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Ensure adherence to established security protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct regular security patrols and inspections of the data center premises, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
Monitor and manage access control systems, including CCTV, biometric scanners, and alarm systems.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including unauthorized access, alarms, and emergencies.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, access logs, and security-related activities.
Liaise with external security agencies and law enforcement as required, ensuring compliance with Singaporean legal requirements.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to mitigate identified risks.
Ensure compliance with Singaporean data protection regulations (e.g., Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)) and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SS 507).
Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, and recommend security enhancements.
Manage and maintain security equipment and systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Understand and enforce the security requirements of the Building and Construction Authority(BCA), and the Singapore Civil Defence Force(SCDF).
Personnel Management:
Provide clear direction and guidance to security personnel.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Ensure that all security personnel are properly trained and certified.
Maintain accurate records of security personnel licenses, and certifications, ensuring compliance with Singaporean regulations.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare regular security reports and presentations for management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security procedures, policies, and incident reports.
Provide timely and accurate information to management regarding security incidents and concerns.
Maintain detailed records of visitor logs, and deliveries.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or equivalent in security management, facilities management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a security supervisory role, preferably in a data center or critical infrastructure environment.
Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of Singaporean security regulations and industry standards (PDPA, ISO 27001, SS 507, BCA, SCDF).
Valid Security Officer License from the Singapore Police Force.
