As part of their continued growth and transformation, they are seeking an experienced Regional Finance Leader to oversee financial operations across Asia. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this key leadership role will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Provide critical financial insights to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making and business planning
- Partner with business leaders to analyze performance and identify growth opportunities
- Drive system enhancements for accurate, efficient financial reporting and analysis
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee regional audits, statutory accounts, and tax compliance
- Implement and maintain a robust control framework across Asian jurisdictions
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and corporate accounting policies
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
People Leadership and Development
- Inspire, coach, and build a high-performing finance team across the region
- Foster a business-focused team culture with clear accountability and consistent high performance
- Develop talent and ensure succession planning for key finance roles
Financial Transformation and Process Optimization
- Champion the optimization of finance processes through technology, automation, and analytics
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement across regional finance operations
Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to provide financial guidance and support
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and support regional growth objectives
Qualifications and Expertise:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy or relevant fields. CPA qualification is ideal.
- Over 15 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of leading a regional finance team through financial, strategic, and operational initiatives in a professional services environment.
- Ability to navigate complex, multicultural environments in a matrix group structure.
- Strong knowledge of business and financial regulatory landscapes in Asia.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, adept at building credibility and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong financial analysis capabilities with a keen eye for numbers.
- Technologically competent, with expertise in financial systems, advanced Excel skills, data visualisation and ERP platforms.
