Role Overview
We are looking for a Localization & Community Specialist who can bridge product, player experience, and culture across multiple markets.
This is a hands-on role that supports game localization, community engagement, and marketing content execution for overseas markets. You will be responsible for ensuring localized game versions are accurate and culturally relevant, supporting player communication, and growing community engagement in key regions such as Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Germany, and English-speaking markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Localization Support
- Handle the end-to-end localization of game content and operational materials for international markets.
- Ensure high linguistic quality and cultural relevance of translations across languages and game versions.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and publishing teams to ensure smooth release pipelines.
- Player Support & Feedback
- Respond to player questions in local languages across platforms (e.g., social media, email, community forums).
- Collect and summarize player feedback to help improve product experience and retention.
- Work with game teams to prioritize and track feedback-driven improvements.
- Community Management
- Develop and manage localized online communities (Discord, Facebook, Line, etc.) for key regions.
- Organize community-driven campaigns, moderator programs, and engagement activities.
- Monitor community sentiment and provide insights to the publishing and product teams.
- Content & Marketing Support
- Assist in brainstorming, localizing, and delivering marketing content for social media, announcements, trailers, and ads.
- Support execution of online and offline events including launch parties, influencer activations, and game exhibitions.
- Coordinate with local creators, influencers, and media when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in localization, community management, or publishing operations in the gaming industry.
- Strong language skills in at least one or more key markets: Japanese, Korean, German, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, or English (as native or fluent level).
- Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of player behavior and community dynamics.
- Hands-on with content tools, spreadsheets, and basic design or editing tools (bonus).
- Experience working with overseas teams or in a global context is a big plus.
