As a Communications Specialist, you will play a dynamic and versatile role towards bolstering the College’s brand presence and fostering strong stakeholder engagement. This position provides essential support across a spectrum of communications functions, including brand management, content creation, community engagement, and in executing key strategic initiatives to chart the College’s growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Brand & Public Relations
Assist in monitoring, managing and enhancing the College’s brand equity and reputation.
Support the implementation and review of brand guidelines and messaging across all communication channels.
Manage and organise brand assets, ensuring consistent application in internal and external communications.
Assist in drafting and distributing press releases and media kits.
Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on brand perception and impact.
Contribute to the execution of brand campaigns and initiatives with end-to-end support.
Manage and oversee the corporate gift production and distribution across internal teams.
Content & Community
Support the creation and curation of engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters and internal communications.
Foster relationships with key audiences and influencers to cultivate brand advocacy.
Monitor and respond to community feedback and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Identify and leverage emerging audience, content and digital trends to enhance brand and community engagement.
Communications Support
Provide day-to-day communications support to the broader team.
Assist in the planning and execution of key initiatives and other strategic campaigns.
Coordinate logistical arrangements and materials for events and campaigns.
Assist in the development and distribution of communications materials.
Maintain story profile and contact banks and distribution lists.
Proofread and edit communications materials for accuracy, clarity and consistency.
Assist in the preparation of performance reports and presentations.
Work with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties.
Qualifications
A degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
2 or more years of relevant experience in a communications or marketing role - including exposure to a multi-stakeholder environment (internal and external).
Proven proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading.
Knowledge of PR and brand work, event management, as well as digital marketing and analytics is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational, project and time management abilities.
Independent and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
