Shipping Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Shipping Manager to join Markono Logistics Pte Ltd. This exciting opportunity allows you to shape the shipping function and business strategies focusing on optimizing our Road, Air, and Sea Freight operations. Responsibilities:

• Define and execute strategies for Road, Air, and Sea Freight businesses, optimizing product portfolios, processes, and business assets for maximum profitability
• Gather and prioritize product visions for Road, Air, and Sea Freight at local levels, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies
• Analyze existing freight volumes to develop local market strategies and drive growth in market shares, trade lanes, and sector profitability
• Implement the company's freight product management strategies and ensure adherence to operational and financial targets
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to develop sales pipelines, offer competitive rates, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Identify and implement value-added projects that improve freight services and efficiencies
• Monitor service standards, KPIs, and customer satisfactions, addressing discrepancies through corrective actions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and global partners, negotiating terms and evaluating local providers
• Develop and execute freight consolidation strategies, optimizing shipping efficiencies and cost-effectiveness
• Oversee daily shipping activities, including preparation, dispatche, tracking, and issues resolution
• Manage relationships with external transportation providers to ensure timely and quality deliveries
• Monitor and control shipping costs, working with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive rates
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Address customer concerns related to shipments, working closely with customer service teams to resolve issues and improve satisfaction
• Maintain accurate shipping records and provide reports on performances, challenges, and improvement opportunities

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding and managing Road, Air, and Sea Freight businesses
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and safety protocols
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify gaps, and develop action plans
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in shipping software and advanced computer skills
• Excellent negotiation, planning, and organizational skills
• Results-driven with strong networking abilities
