RESPONSIBILITIES
He / She is responsible for the procurement function of assigned products / services under his / her care, and to ensure a reliable system in procuring the most suitable products at the best possible price.
• Execute all purchasing activities and administration in the daily operation of the Homes.
• Source and procure all types of products required for the Homes’ operation.
• Source for at least 3 suppliers to provide quotations for any new item to be purchased.
• Meet vendors to view and assess the suitability of the sourced products in terms of quality, price, appropriateness etc.
• Verify with end-users on the suitability of sourced products.
• Negotiate with the vendor to obtain the best price without compromising on quality.
• Issue Purchase Orders upon approval by the Management for the sourced products.
• Housekeep vendors and products’ databases to ensure the information is up to date.
• Review and revise product code and product description to ensure their accuracy.
• Ensure stock database uses by the 3 Nursing Homes is the same.
• Monitor and assess the performance of vendors for use as reference.
• Always Ensure adherence of Delegation of Authority.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
