Job Scope:

We are seeking an experienced individual for Freight Forwarding Operations. This role involves managing daily operational functions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth freight operations for both imports and exports across all modes of transport, particularly sea freight. The successful candidate will oversee tasks such as booking, shipping documentation, permit declarations, exception handling and tracking shipment status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage operational coordination and documentation for freight forwarding
• Handle all modes of freight operations, particularly sea freight for import/export shipments
• Prepare shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Delivery Orders), handle letters of credit, and manage permits
• Monitor and update shipment status for customers
• Ensure accurate invoicing for customers and vendors
• Maintain timely and accurate records for reporting and filing
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Business Development, Finance) and external stakeholders (e.g., agents, carriers, customers)
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing data and providing business solutions

Requirements:

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, maritime or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, operations, or customer service within Freight Forwarding
• Strong knowledge of freight documentation, coordination, and negotiations
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders
• Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., OMS, FMS, Cargoware, Cargowise)
