As a Trading Intern in Global Markets, you'll be part of a dynamic team that drives the bank's trading and risk management capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to develop your technical and analytical skills and contribute to the growth of the bank's Foreign Exchange options trading business.
How You Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need to be a quick learner, able to adapt to changing priorities, and have a strong analytical mindset. You'll work closely with the Foreign Exchange options trading desk to provide operational support, enhance, and maintain a comprehensive database of public Foreign Exchange options trade data, and collaborate with traders to automate trading signal generation. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving results.
What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Support: provide operational support to the Foreign Exchange options trading desk, including tasks such as funding, risk monitoring and reporting
- Data Management: enhance and maintain a comprehensive database of public Foreign Exchange options trade data
- Trading Signal Automation: collaborate with traders to automate trading signal generation and perform rigorous backtesting of trading strategies
- Pricing Engine Enhancement: collaborate with front office developers, quants, and traders to improve the infrastructure of the pricing engine and enhance the features of the in-house Foreign Exchange options pricing system
- Automation Maintenance: maintain and upgrade VBA-based automations that support the desk's operations

Who You Are
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, mathematics, finance)
- Programming skills such as Python and Visual Basic Application
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
