Project Director (Construction)

Job Duties & Responsibility:

• Oversee end-to-end project management from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring seamless coordination.
• Chair meetings with clients, consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors, etc. to resolve any design/budget/technical issues that might derail the project delivery, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Direct all site activities of site staff, subcontractors and suppliers, etc., and manage the communication between different groups to ensure timely response to project requirements.
• Develop and implement project strategies, mitigating risks and resolving site challenges.
• Draw up corrective measures when the building works are off schedule.
• Co-ordinate building inspections by relevant authorities.
• Ensure strict compliance with BCA regulations, workplace safety, and contract requirements.
• Manage and deliver projects within project timeline and budget, as well as the framework of risk and environmental considerations.
• Conduct site inspections regularly to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project cost control, procurement, and financial performance.
• Manage work delivery and resources based on the resource allocation and project schedules.
• Manage construction project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and change orders.
• Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones and any significant developments or risks.
• Ensure that as-built drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period and issue final close-outs to Consultant/Client accordingly.
• Review construction progress and address the needs of the stakeholders at various stages of the project.
• Develop an alternate plan for completing a job if needed.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including clients, authorities, and internal teams.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction processes.
• Establish, develop and maintain customer relationship; expand projects opportunities.
• Develop and maintain network with consultant, subcontractors, and clients.
• Preparation of proposals, tenders and quotations based on project requirements and close monitoring of project execution to optimize profitability and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and keep abreast of latest market development.
• Able to market company portfolio to potential clients.
• Strong ability to identity and secure projects to support company growth.
• Strong project management experience in construction industry, including handling full project lifecycle.
• Willing to travel to various job site and send workers to allocate job site if needed.
