Legal Counsel (Commodity Trading)

Our client, a prominent global commodities trading company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join them. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing both litigation and non-litigation matters, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic legal support across various cross-border legal issues.

Reporting to the Head of Dept, the incumbent will be responsible for legal documents review for cross border M&A projects governed by common law; overseas compliance management; international trade dispute resolution; investment project management; and cross-border law firm management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, International Trade, Legal Studies, or a related field
• Min 3 years legal experience in renowned law firm or large corporation
• Prior working experience in the Commodity Trading industry or cross-border M&A legal work will be an advantage
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Experienced in managing corporate legal affairs, with the ability to handle both litigation and non-litigation matters, and a solid background in cross-border legal issues.
