Resident Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure and VPC Support

Scope of Services:

1. Infrastructure Build & Break/Fix Support for VPC in Data Center:
   Support the infrastructure build for Virtual Private Cloud and provide break/fix services as needed in the data center.
2. Vendor Escort Services:
   Escort vendor engineers to the site for hardware services and maintenance.
3. Hardware Installation, Configuration, Testing, and Break/Fix:
   Collaborate with OEM vendors to plan and schedule physical installations, configuration, testing, and resolution of hardware issues.
4. Hardware Mounting According to Design:
   Ensure that all server, storage, network components are mounted according to the predefined design.
5. Cabling and Patching:
   Follow up on and manage cabling and patching requests.
6. Onsite Troubleshooting:
   Work with the customer team and vendor engineers for troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
7. Change Control and Access Management:
   Raise required processes and ensure compliance with customer change management and control procedures for onsite access.
8. Physical Hardware Support:
   Provide hands-on support for server hardware, including power-cycling or rebooting as necessary.

Requirements:

1. Technical Knowledge:
   Solid understanding of server hardware, SAN storage, and networking components (routers, switches).
   In-depth knowledge of server components, including HDD, CPU, RAM, network, and storage cards.
2. Multitasking & Communication Skills:
   Strong ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
3. Troubleshooting & Organizational Skills:
   Excellent troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
4. Vendor Collaboration:
   Ability to work closely with vendor engineers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and troubleshooting.
5. Hands-On Physical Support:
   Comfort with providing physical, hands-on support for hardware-related tasks (e.g., rebooting servers, checking connections).
