Job Title: Packing Assistant

Reports to: Site manager

Role Overview:

This is an amazing opportunity to join an industry leading designer and manufacturer of Radio Frequency (RF) antenna products with a worldwide reputation in its field. The Packing Assistant will be part of the Production team and will be based in our Singapore Site. They will work closely with the Warehousing and Production departments.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings to understand product specifications and packing requirements for our product range.
• Pack products according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Organize and monitor stock of packing materials.
• Ensure all packed products are labelled correctly and meet quality standards.
• Streamline to ensure no orders are mixed when orders are prepared
• Work with Despatcher to improve palletizing and reduce freight costs wherever possible
• Checking goods before dispatch.
• Communicate any Warehouse or Order Processing errors
• Communicate any discrepancies or issues found in the drawings to the supervisor.
• Perform heat shrink operations on products as required.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of heat shrink equipment.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before packing and report any quality issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed
• Be proactive with a positive 'can do' approach, and role model our company values and behaviours
• Maintain a clean and organized packing area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Have some experience in packing or warehousing

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Basic level MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Interested in understanding the technical aspects of the business.
• Excellent time and task management, communication and team working skills.
• Good report writing skills, with good written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to16-20 kg)
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Working Hours

40 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 5:30pm.

1 hour lunch break unpaid

Job Types:

Contract length: 12 months, with a possibility turning it to full Time permanent

Remuneration

Salary: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
