Treasury Operation (Banking)

PeopleSearch is partnering with a leading bank for a Treasury Operations role.

Job Function:

The Treasury Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations within the bank’s treasury function. The role involves supporting the bank’s liquidity management, cash flow operations, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of treasury transactions. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders such as the finance, risk, and compliance teams, as well as external counterparties to ensure smooth operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liquidity Management: Monitor daily liquidity positions and ensure the availability of funds to meet the bank's operational requirements.
• Transaction Processing: Ensure the timely and accurate processing of treasury-related transactions, including foreign exchange, money market, and derivative transactions.
• Cash Management: Oversee the bank’s daily cash flow, ensuring that surplus funds are appropriately invested and any shortfalls are funded.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of treasury transactions, including balances in various accounts, with system records and external statements.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all treasury operations comply with internal policies and regulatory standards. Assist in mitigating financial risks by ensuring proper hedging and monitoring of currency and interest rate positions.
• System Support: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of treasury management systems and tools, ensuring accurate data entry and proper functionality.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with external parties such as counterparties, custodians, and auditors, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any operational issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in treasury operations or a related role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of treasury products (e.g., FX, money market, derivatives) and financial systems.
• Knowledge of relevant banking regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
