Job Posting for Capital Market Business Analyst at PERSOLKELLY
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document detailed requirements that reflect strategic objectives and operational realities.
Collaborate with Product Owners to break down requirements into actionable user stories, helping to shape product roadmaps and prioritize development efforts.
Develop functional specifications that translate complex business needs into clearly defined software behavior, user flows, and data models.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, providing insight and context to ensure alignment during solution design and development.
Research existing tools and platforms—both in-house and third-party—to identify opportunities for reuse or enhancement.
Participate in discussions around technical feasibility, architectural alignment, and solution design.
Support quality assurance by contributing to functional testing, behavior-driven development (BDD) scenarios, and post-deployment validation.
Analyze the functional impact of changes on SLAs, OLAs, and ongoing operations, ensuring business continuity and performance standards.
Offer hands-on support during production issues, including L3 support when needed.
Document project deliverables including specifications, estimations, test plans, and functional guidelines.
Help onboard new team members and provide mentorship and support within the team.
Coordinate closely with the Functional Architect to ensure solutions fit seamlessly into the broader IT ecosystem.
Required Skills & Prior Experience
Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with strong focus on Market Data administration.
In-depth understanding of financial instruments and trading workflows across FX, Bonds, Equities, Rates, and Derivatives.
Proficiency in working with data formats such as FpML and managing static market data from providers like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
Strong command of SQL and Excel; experience with data manipulation languages like Python or R is a plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across both technical and business domains.
High level of analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail.
Experience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to participate in support activities, including L3 issue resolution.
Commitment to continuous learning and openness to emerging technologies such as cloud solutions and AI-driven analytics.
Good to have Skills
Experience collaborating with multicultural teams across different time zones.
Familiarity with project management practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
Exposure to back-office systems like Calypso or market risk platforms.
Basic understanding of UML diagrams and software modeling.
Prior experience with Git or other version control systems.
Awareness of cloud-based solution design (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Working knowledge of object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, .Net).
