About the Job:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, delivery activities, and the overall logistics workforce of 48 personnel. This includes a structured team of Drivers, Delivery Assistants, Stackers, Unstackers, and Sleeves handlers. The role requires strong leadership to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, service excellence, and continuous improvement in a non-air-conditioned, fast-paced manufacturing and warehousing environment.
The supervisor will lead by example, managing manpower deployment, coaching a multi-ethnic, multigenerational workforce, and ensuring adherence to customer-centric service protocols. The successful candidate must be prepared to work long hours regularly, given the nature of the manufacturing sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and Coordinate Logistics Workforce:
Lead and manage a 48-member logistics team through effective scheduling, overtime planning, and manpower deployment. Ensure productivity by implementing rotation strategies for physically demanding roles and promote strong communication, engagement, and morale across a diverse workforce.
Operational Execution & Delivery Management:
Oversee the full execution of stacking, unstacking, sleeving, and delivery processes, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Manage drum handling activities, including stacking up to three layers (2.7 meters). Supervise container stuffing for up to 10 x 40-footer shipments nightly and coordinate five delivery trips per lorry daily for both local and overseas deliveries.
Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping:
Enforce safety, security, and housekeeping standards across warehouse operations, ensuring proper use of PPE such as safety shoes and vests. Maintain compliant drum stacking practices to prevent accidents and product damage. Uphold delivery quality in line with Customer Excellence Award standards to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction.
